Kendall Nibbs, MS-CMHC
Resident in Counseling

I am a licensed Resident in Counseling, with a strong focus on practicing client centered therapy. My approach to counseling is to rely on the power of building a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients, to help them acknowledge and manage their obstacles to connecting with their highest self. I am trained in delivering multiculturally sensitive therapy for adolescents and adults ages 17 and older, as well as couples.

My style of therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) allows me to hone in on the emotionally driven nature of thoughts and behavior. This creates an avenue for us to work together on narrowing down the root emotions and cognitive processes associated with overall mood and behavior patterns. I have experience with diagnoses such as borderline personality disorder (BPD), bipolar I & II, adjustment disorders, and compulsive disorders. I also have experience working with couples who are navigating infertility issues, sexual dysfunction, and non-traditional relationship dynamics.

I believe that the therapeutic process allows individuals to recognize and/or gain the internal tools and resources necessary to be well and achieve their goals. As your counselor, my goal is to walk with you through life’s challenges and help guide you towards self actualization.
