Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) Therapy

Emotions shouldn’t feel this intense, unpredictable, or overwhelming.

Living with BPD or traits of emotional dysregulation can feel like everything is happening at full volume — relationships, reactions, fears, and internal experiences. You may feel deeply connected one moment and then overwhelmed or disconnected the next.

This could show up as intense emotional swings, fear of abandonment, difficulty regulating reactions, or relationships that feel confusing or unstable.

Even when you understand these patterns, it can still feel difficult to slow them down in the moment.

In Therapy, We Will Focus On:

  • Understanding emotional intensity and where it comes from

  • Building emotional regulation skills

  • Identifying relationship dynamics and attachment patterns

  • Strengthening sense of self and identity

  • Reducing impulsive or self-defeating behaviors

  • Developing tools to tolerate distress

  • Creating more stable, secure relationships

You are not “too much.” Your emotions make sense — even when they feel overwhelming.

Therapy helps you learn how to respond to your emotions instead of feeling controlled by them, so your relationships and internal world begin to feel more steady and manageable.
