Understanding the cost of therapy and how insurance works can feel confusing. My goal is to keep this process as clear and transparent as possible so you know what to expect before scheduling.
Private Pay:
Private pay offers greater flexibility and allows therapy to focus on your goals without certain insurance-related restrictions.

Individual Therapy: $185 per session
Couples & Relationship Counseling:
Sessions focus on strengthening communication, rebuilding trust, navigating infidelity, resolving conflict, and improving emotional connection.

Private Pay Only: $185 per session
Insurance is accepted for eligible individual psychotherapy. Relationship-focused couples counseling is offered exclusively as a private-pay service.
Payment: Major credit cards are accepted. HSA/FSA cards may be used for eligible healthcare services.

Graceful Changes Psychotherapy is in-network with several commercial insurance plans across Virginia, Maine, Connecticut, and Vermont.

Graceful Changes Psychotherapy is not currently in-network with Medicaid or Medicare.
Out-of-Network Benefits:
If your insurance plan offers reimbursement for out-of-network therapy services, a Superbill can be provided after each session for you to submit to your insurance company.
Reimbursement is determined by your insurance provider and is not guaranteed, so it is recommended that you confirm your out-of-network benefits in advance.
